Dance students workshopDance Students Workshop

Year 9 GCSE Dance students participated in a workshop on Monday 29th January 2018 with someone called Nina who is a trained dancer who now who works with the CAT scheme. Nina is part of The Place's Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) which is part of a national intensive dance programme for 11-18 year olds who display exceptional potential and passion for Dance.

Nina delivered a fantastic workshop to students whilst scouting for potential individuals to be put forward to audition for the programme. Centres for Advanced Training is a government initiative funded by the Department for Education and managed by the Music and Dance Scheme which was initially set up in 2004. The programme at The Place, London, is open to all children between 11-16 years regardless of previous dance training.

Nina and her assistant Hayley were extremely impressed by the passion, energy and potential shown by each and every student during the workshop. Miss Nunn very was equally impressed with how all students performed and conducted themselves! Well done to all Year 9 GCSE Dance students!
